Rain barrels are on location!

Through Rain Barrels on Parade, StormWorks is raising awareness of Pittsburgh’s stormwater issues and beginning a conversation with the community on how individuals and businesses can control their stormwater footprint while also saving money on water use. Painted and decorated rain barrels are on parade through September, after which they will be auctioned off to be used in homes and local businesses. Proceeds will go toward the artists and educational stormwater programming, so consider putting in a bid! Keep checking back for auction details. The painted rain barrels will also be showcased at the Allegheny Green & Innovation Festival at Hartwood Acres on September 29th. Photo credit: Denmarsh Photography Inc.
